The · adventures · of · Hazelwood · Grove

Greetings, and welcome my friends to the Adventures of Hazelwood Grove.



The year is 1865 and times are still rough with the echoing of the Civil War hovering over society. Many people are simply trying to survive and thrive amongst the world's unrest. Here in Hazelwood Grove, you don't hear much about world events but moreso of Town events. The citizens are more concerned with keeping their family safe, provided for, and happy as can be in this pre-industrialized era. Many are settlers that have come in through various means such as the Oregon Trail and other types of transportation of the like.



This is true for the Glass Family. Elizabeth and Jonathan Glass came off the Verona Trail that is several hundred miles away. The war in Verona was finally subsiding, but not before the soldiers and indians both destroyed their land and looted their home. They were used to a well-to-do life, and with what they had left packed up and made the perilous journey here to Hazelwood Grove.



So far this seemed to be a peaceful and scenic town, young and growing with occupants and business. It would be a great place to start over they thought. Especially being newlyweds, they were glad for the fresh start. Elizabeth desperately wants to start a real family, and Jonathan has been scanning newspapers for any new jobs in medicine he could sink into. Being a new town, he figured they could use a good town doctor.



And so their story begins. Will they live a long peaceful life, in such times as these?
